Much the same experience as you had. (If you go to the two posts I made on June 2, 2008 - you can read all about how it went.)<BR/><BR/>Thinking of Little Dude and high school scares me. Heck - knowing that he is in a place where he has to start learning the hard lessons in life (sometimes our "friends" don't pick us and sometimes we are left out of things), terrifies me.<BR/><BR/>But I think of the book my mom recently gave me. And how the passage the mom sings keeps repeating at each stage of the boy's life - "...as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."<BR/><BR/>I sobbed when I read this book - but it is so true. And I think it is especially true as you think of your daughter.<BR/><BR/>Oh, and the book's name is "Love You Forever," in case you want to get it for your high-school-aged daughter - it is a good way to let her know you'll always be there for her. It has a good message for new moms, kids, grandparents - you name it. It is written by Robert Munsch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
